LIPAULT X JEAN PAUL GAULTIER
With 2018 coming to a close end (how did that happen so fast?), one of my last style posts of the year is with Lipault Paris, a brand that I’ve been lucky enough to work with as an ambassador for all year. This season, Lipault has teamed up with iconic French designer, Jean Paul Gaultier on an edgy, luxe collection that without a doubt is my favourite collection from them yet. Fabricated in a sleek pinstripe design, this collection blurs the lines between feminine and masculine, bringing a chic touch to any accessory game.
If you’ve been following my Instagram, you’ll know that I travelled back to Japan a few weeks ago. Japan is a country that has been one of my favourites to visit since I first visited back in 2006; the food is amazing, the people are so kind, and the city overall is just so different to the vibes here in Melbourne, not to mention aesthetic as hell. Starting with a week in Tokyo, days were spent walking around Harakuju and Omotesando Hills, exploring all the different boutiques, eclectic fashion, and consuming ramen and sushi for every meal (heaven). Afterwards, I travelled to Osaka to enjoy the night life, street food and vintage shopping- definitely a city that shouldn’t be overlooked.
Lucky enough to be one of the ambassadors for Lipault Paris this year, I of course brought along some handy Lipault travel pieces to take me from A to B in style this trip. The Plume weekend bag became my best travel companion; an elegant, and practical leather bag that fits everything that you need, this will definitely be a necessity for my future trips. On short overnight stays, this was my go to bag as it’s the perfect size, and the option of adding a shoulder strap became very useful towards the end of my trip.
Not to be forgotten, I kept my toiletries organised with the Miss Plume toilet kit, which made packing that much more enjoyable. This trip to Japan reminded me of how rewarding travelling is, and I can’t wait to fly out soon!
